CrossLoop

CrossLoop is a remote control program built on VNC technology. It allows for an easy, secure connection to a remote computer. I often use this tool to remotely solve software problems. Though not as robust as UltraVNC, Crossloop is much easier to use, works around firewalls out of the box, and is perfect for infrequent use.

Read on for download link and installation instructions.

Installation

  1. Download CrossLoop and save it to your desktop.
  2. Go to your desktop and double-click on “crossloop.exe”.
  3. Select the installer language and press “OK”.
  4. Press “Next” when you see the “Welcome to the CrossLoop setup wizard” window.
  5. Accept the license agreement and press “next”.
  6. Uncheck both boxes, then press “Next”.
  7. On the “Ready to install” screen, press “Install”.
  8. Allow the installation to complete, then press “Finish”.

Usage

  1. A window will open and give you the option to “Create Account” or “Login”. Select “Login”.
  2. If you have a CrossLoop account, enter that account info and then press “Login”, otherwise, press the red X at the top right corner.
  3. You will now be at the main CrossLoop window. From here, click the “Share” tab.
  4. In the “Name” field, type your name. Leave the “Access code” field as it is.
  5. Provide the “Access code” to the person you wish to share your computer with, then press “Connect”.
